Send a File We Cannot Open — SendShield Encrypted Files
Encrypt your files directly inside your browser before uploading. The decryption key never leaves your link, and SendShield Files never sees your plain data.
Two Things You Can Do
1. Request Files Privately
Create an end-to-end encrypted drop portal. Specify the exact documents you require, restrict allowed formats (such as PDF, PNG, or JPG), set an expiration, and share a single link. Uploaders do not need your password. They encrypt files with your ECDH public key in their own browsers so that only you can decrypt the submissions. You can add a passphrase when you want one more lock.
2. Send an Encrypted File
Pick a file, select your desired expiration window (from 10 minutes to 90 days), and optionally protect it with an Argon2id passphrase. Your browser encrypts the file into 16 MiB chunks with AES-256-GCM via the Web Cryptography API. The decryption key is isolated in the URL fragment (#key=...) and is never sent to our servers.
How SendShield Protects Your Privacy
Traditional cloud storage providers inspect, index, and hold custody of your private documents. SendShield Files employs strict zero-knowledge architecture:
- Client-Side Cryptography: Hardware-accelerated Web Cryptography API executes AES-256-GCM encryption on your device before network packets leave your computer.
- RFC 3986 Hash Fragment Isolation: Decryption keys reside exclusively in the URL hash fragment (#...), which internet standards guarantee are never sent over HTTP request headers.
- Zero Server Custody: Servers and storage infrastructure store only opaque ciphertext. We cannot mathematically decrypt your files or inspect your contents.
- Flexible One-Time Passes: Generous cloud storage capacity (10 GB Free, 50 GB Plus, 120 GB Pro) without recurring subscription traps.
